8 teams joined us for Bacchus Trivia Night on Monday, November 18th.

The winning team chose the RED BOX MYSTERY PRIZE which contained $50 cash. That means the 2nd place team got the drink tokens!

Here’s how the scores broke down; 1st place - The Ex Twinks with 64/74pts; 2nd place - Quiz In My Pants with 63/74pts; 3rd place - A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To Bacchus with 60/74pts; 4th place - Tequila Mockingbird with 58/74pts; 5th place - Just The 2 of Us + 2 with 53/74pts; 6th place - Shit & Shambles + 1 with 46/74pts; 7th place - Dallas with 43/74pts; and 8th place - a team that played sporadically - the visitors from Europe who called themselves Swiss with 10/21pts. Thanks again to all the participating teams!

We started out as always with Round 1 General Knowledge (multiple choice) questions. Round 4 was also a General Knowledge round. Click below to see how well you’d do. Answers are at the very bottom of this post.

In Round 2, contestants had to answer common sense questions like “How many months have 28 days?” They all do! Round 3 was a visual round called Chicken Heads…and there was some subtle reference to oral sex, but it might have gone over their heads! All contestants had to identify specific chicken heads (real and promiscuous). Did you know about that video from Coachella? Hmmm…Now you do!

Round 5 was called Chick-O-Sitck, and questions were tangentially related to the ingredients in this perplexing candy snack. For instance, the food contains dyes in yellow, red and blue. So, we extrapolated and asked contestants to name a country whose flag is comprised of 3 stripes of yellow, red and blue (there are 7 options). Another question was about Titanium Dioxide, and all you had to know was that Frank Gehry’s buildings are clad in titanium! In the final round, a worksheet was passed where contestants had to name the candy based on the ad slogan. Sometimes you feel like a nut! And it was super fun!
